Rachel Proctor

PhD student

Rachel is a PhD student at the University of Exeter Medical School. Her research is centered at the intersection between public health and sustainability. Specifically, how schools can take an ecological approach to address health inequalities and to help children to become healthier and more environmentally aware young people.

Rachel is a qualified Primary School Teacher, with a specialism in special educational needs and has taught across key stage one and two. She also has experience as Curriculum Leader in PE and Healthy Eating and in teaching a wide range of outdoor experiential activities.

In 2017 she graduated with distinction from the University of Edinburgh with an MSc in Environment, Culture and Society.
