Communications Manager

  • p.mina@exeter.ac.uk

Philippa has more than 20 years experience as a journalist, communications and strategic partnership specialist, with BBC , ITV, Telegraph and The Wall Street Journal amongst platforms she has reported for.

As well as working as a consultant, Philippa is responsible for the management of communications for the European Centre for Environment and Human Health.

She has recently produced a documentary style film for the Centre’s 10th anniversary and took the lead on the communications approach and assets with a tight turnaround for the G7 Summit and COP26.

A key ability –  underpinned by her background in broadcast journalism and political and current affairs reporting –  is in turning complex, technical and disparate information into impactful content that is relevant to clearly defined audiences.

Philippa both commissions and develops content, innovating and producing bespoke individual creative projects as well as written and video assets. Philippa is experienced in working with multi-disciplinary teams and understands the power of authentic and compelling communication,  supported by a strong and clear strategic agenda.
