Macaulay Winter is a PhD student exploring bacterial genome evolution.
His research will generate data that can provide a scientific basis for pollution management, it is supervised by Dr Michiel Vos and Dr Matt Lloyd Jones.
Macaulay completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biomedical science at the University of the West of England, with haematology as his specialist subject.
After graduating, he worked at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital for a year as a trainee biomedical scientist, before joining the Centre to undertake his doctoral research.
