Jess Dicken

Research Fellow

Jess Dicken is a public health expert working in climate change and health. She majors in public engagement, climate justice and health equity.

Her current role is public engagement research fellow at the Centre for Net Positive Health and Climate Solutions.

Jess’s work centres around bridging the gap between research and policy and practice; bringing a public health approach to big issues like climate adaptation and promoting equitable engagement and co-design approaches.

Her projects include:

  • Local Climate Adaptation Tool (LCAT)
  • Lived experience of disabled staff
  • Health Determinants Research Collaborative
  • Public Engagement Strategy Group member

Previous to her 5 years in research, Jess spent a decade in senior public health practice roles, working on a broad range of topics from children and young people’s health to sexual health and women and girls’ health rights.
