Hong Fan

PhD student

Hong Fan is a PhD student studying the impact of environmental factors on human health.

Her research focuses on understanding the impacts of factors such as air pollution and climate change, and her work is supervised by Dr Hanbin Zhang and Professor Theo Economou.

Before her PhD, Hong Fan focused on epidemiology, especially childhood neurodevelopmental disorders and mental health, participating in large-scale studies and publishing two SCI papers as first author.

She completed her bachelor’s degree in public health from Harbin Medical University in June 2022 and her master’s degree in public health from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in June 2025.
