Gemma is an administrator helping to ensure the Centre’s day-to-day activities run smoothly and efficiently.
She has worked at the University of Exeter since 2016, supporting and coordinating numerous research projects. Gemma coordinated a global food security research project and supported a research project which studied the evolution of cooperation and culture in humans.
Prior to her work at the University, she worked within the NHS and Local Government as a public health practitioner in various roles, including health behaviour change trainer, workplace health and well-being advisor, healthy weight management practitioner, cycling and walking project coordinator, community vegetable box scheme coordinator, healthy eating coordinator, and active living support worker.
Gemma received her MSc in Nutrition from King’s College London and her BSc in Biology from Plymouth University. Her wider work interests include health inequalities and health and well-being in growing older, individuals, families, communities, and society.
