Anna Maccagnan

Research fellow

  • A.Maccagnan@exeter.ac.uk

Dr. Anna Maccagnan is an economist whose research interests lie in the fields of health economics, environmental economics, household economics and wellbeing evaluation.

Anna joined the ECEHH in January 2016, working with Dr. Tim Taylor and in collaboration with Happy City (http://www.happycity.org.uk/measurement-policy/about-measurement-policy/ ) on the Innovate UK funded project “Valuing the health benefits of city well-being”. The project aimed at evaluating the benefits of increased wellbeing and at creating a toolkit for wellbeing assessments.

Currently, Anna is working on the EU funded Horizon 2020 ICARUS project (Integrated Climate forcing and Air pollution Reduction in Urban Systems). http://icarus2020.eu/

Within this project, Anna has explored the extent to which socioeconomic status is associated with the adoption or the willingness to adopt technologies to reduce GHG and pollutant emissions.  Anna and colleagues are also working on a survey to value in monetary terms particular health impacts of climate change.
