Demelza Curnow is a project administrator supporting Professor Will Gaze’s microbiology research group.

Originally a medievalist, she is particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches to researching antimicrobial resistance.

Prior to joining the University of Exeter, Demelza worked in a number of senior roles across the higher education sector, specialising in academic quality and governance.

In addition to her substantive posts, she has been a member of various sector consultation groups, most recently in relation to academic regulatory frameworks, and has held external positions on award boards, committees and standing panels at a range of higher education providers.

Demelza has been a reviewer for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and acted as an international expert for the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (Studijų Kokybės Vertinimo Centras – SKVC), Lithuania.
