Nature, Health & Wellbeing CPD Course

20–30 Mar 2023

The European Centre for Environment and Human Health’s Continuing Professional Development course, Nature, Health and Well-being,  will run virtually on Zoom over 4 days on from 9:00 – 13:00 (UK time) on the 20th, 23rd, 27th, 30th March 2023 from the comfort of your home and/or office without the need to travel.

This course will explore how natural environments can benefit the physical and mental health of people in a variety of different ways. It will address the relationship between nature and health, how the relationship works, why these matter for the environment, public health and sustainability, as well as how you can apply these learnings in your own practice.

The course investigates the potential for the natural environment to be harnessed as a resource to improve human health and wellbeing.  The potential mechanisms, moderators, and applications for these health benefits will be explored, considering large data sets and key studies linking nature and exposure and health, both within the UK and around the world.

It will be led by national and international experts from The European Centre for Environment and Human Health. There are no pre-requisites or specialist knowledge required to undertake this course, which is well suited to interdisciplinary learning.

We are delighted to offer a limited number of places for participants from low- and middle-income countries at a reduced delegate rate of £200 instead of £600. Please email UEMS_CPD@exeter.ac.uk if interested and eligible as these places will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
