Morita Therapy and sustainable psychotherapies

1–2 Sep 2016

This two-day international congress will explore the benefits and applications of Morita Therapy.

Developed by Dr Shoma Morita in Japan, but largely unknown in the UK, Morita Therapy teaches that symptoms of depression and anxiety are part of the natural ecology of human experience.

Morita Therapy helps people re-orientate themselves in the natural world, taking a restorative approach to improving health.

Delegates will examine current approaches to outpatient Morita Therapy, comparing and contrasting international efforts to develop and test outpatient models for its implementation.

The conference will also explore the ways in which different psychotherapeutic approaches make use of and draw upon the natural environment in treatment., and discuss the nature and place of scientific evidence in Morita and other psychological therapies.
