Grace Kathryn Pearson

PhD student

  • gp574@exeter.ac.uk

Grace is a PhD student at the European Centre for Environment and Human Health (ECEHH) researching how extreme weather events affect indoor environments, household behaviour and health in social housing.

She holds a BA in Environmental Studies from Carleton College (2021) and a dual MSc from the EuropubHealth+ programme (2026), where she studied public health at the University of Sheffield and health systems management at the Escuela Andaluza de Salud Pública and the University of Granada.

Her current project is part of the Centre for Net Positive Health and Climate Solutions (Net+) and is supervised by Dr Hanbin Zhang, Prof Rosa Barciela and Dr Tim Walker. Broadly, Grace is interested in the intersection of environment and human health, and in research that can inform strategies for climate mitigation and adaptation.
